Typically, IT recruitment will do understanding the job requirement, a job with the manager and figure it out what role needs to be filled, required skills, experience, and salary and location. Whether the company actually needs their position. Posting the job, they publish openings on job portals, company's website, and social medias such as LinkedIn, Naukri, Foundit, company careers pages, etc. Finding candidates, they search resumes, contact people directly, and build a pipeline of candidates instead of sitting and waiting for applications. Screening resumes, they remove people who clearly don't fit and shortlist candidates who match the role. Calling candidates, they do initial phone screening, check communication skills, ask about their previous experience, notice if the candidate is bluffing, ask a salary expectation and the notice period and location. Scheduling interviews, they coordinate between the candidate and the interview panel. This sounds simple, but half the job is chasing people who don't reply. Following up after interviews, they collect feedback from managers and decide whether to move to the next round or offer the job.
