Venteon Finance is currently seeking an Interim Controller for a leading company located in the metro Detroit area.
This position reports to the Corporate Leadership Team. The Interim Controller is responsible for the financial function at the US corporate office,
Requirements of the Interim Assistant ControllerBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCMA or CPA designation preferred.Prior Controller/Operational Finance experience with demonstrated leadership skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.Experience in a multi-site, multi-division environment
Requirements of the Interim Assistant Controller This position supports the finance and operational accounting teams, reporting to the CFO.
The Interim Controller will work with the CFO providing accounting leadership, support and assistance within the following areas:Accounting Clean up initiativesAccounting Process developmentRevenue RecognitionInventory Management and Inventory AnalysisAssist the CFO in assessing, revamping and streamlining current accounting functions and activities.
Essential Job FunctionsWork with CFO to ensure standardized accounting procedures and processes.Lead and provide appropriate supporting documentation to internal/external auditorsManage and provide guidance and assistance with all ongoing accounting activities and reportingDemonstrated ability to manage accounting clean-up work and implement operational accounting changes where needed within the General Ledger.Knowledge of QuickBooks/NetSuite/Sage Intacct also beneficial
