Aftercare Staff

About the role

Milnerton Primary School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and responsible aftercare staff to help create a safe, happy, nurturing, and positive environment for learners after the school day. The role is scheduled to begin in January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist learners with homework and daily routines.
• Organize and participate in games, activities, and creative play.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Communicate positively and professionally with learners, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

• A genuine love and interest in working with children.
• Responsibility, reliability, and trustworthiness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• A clear criminal record.
• Previous experience working with children is an advantage.
• A relevant childcare, teaching, or first-aid qualification is advantageous.

Hours are 13:00 to 17:00 Monday through Thursday and 13:00 to 16:00 on Friday.
