Absolute Interpretation And Translation Limited is seeking a motivated and skilled AI-Assisted Document Translator to join our Johannesburg, Gauteng team. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to work in the evolving translation industry by combining linguistic expertise with advanced AI technology to deliver precise and culturally accurate translations. Key Responsibilities Translate documents accurately and clearly between languages, ensuring context and meaning are preserved. Leverage AI translation tools to improve efficiency while applying human editing for quality assurance. Edit and proofread translations to meet client specifications and maintain fluency. Manage multiple translation projects concurrently, adhering to deadlines and workflow standards. Collaborate with clients and team members to clarify requirements and incorporate feedback. Track project progress and report on milestones to ensure quality and timeliness. Stay updated on translation technologies and best practices to continuously enhance processes. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in English and at least one other language. Excellent communication, editing, and time management skills. Computer literate with experience using translation software and AI tools. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; further education in linguistics or related fields is advantageous. Preferably 1-2 years of experience in translation or related roles. This position is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, and is not eligible for remote work.
