Assistant Controller

About the role

Lemmer Spray Systems Ltd. is an established Canadian manufacturer and distributor of industrial spray equipment.

Tasks

• Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end accounting activities
• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, working papers, and financial schedules
• Assist with inventory accounting, product costing, margin analysis, and management reporting
• Support financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and internal controls
• Assist with accounting activities involving affiliated companies
• Participate in accounting process improvements and automation using SAP Business One
• Support the Controller with additional accounting and financial analysis as required
• Report directly to our Controller and gain exposure to financial operations across affiliated companies, including research and development initiatives involving artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced industrial technologies

Requirements

• An accounting professional with practical experience, strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to take ownership of responsibilities
• CPA students and candidates are encouraged to apply
• Experience in manufacturing, inventory accounting, or ERP systems would be an asset
