Assistant Mailroom Lead

About the role

Times-Georgian is looking for a dependable, responsible person to join its mailroom team as an Assistant Mailroom Lead. This position is second in command, working closely with the Mailroom Lead to keep operations running smoothly and oversee the department when needed.

The schedule is Monday–Friday. Shifts generally begin around 12:30 p.m. and continue until the work is finished.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing daily mailroom operations.
• Help direct employees and coordinate workflow.
• Assist with inserting advertising preprints into newspapers.
• Catch newspapers coming off the stackers.
• Help ensure production stays on schedule and work is completed accurately.
• Step in for the Mailroom Lead when needed.
• Perform other mailroom-related duties.
