Associate Attorney

About the role

We’re a Kansas City firm practicing litigation, real estate, construction law, and creditors’ rights for individuals and businesses across Missouri and Kansas.

Tasks

• Handle assigned matters in litigation, real estate, construction, and creditors’ rights under attorney supervision.
• Research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, contracts, and demand letters.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings, with more independence over time.
• Keep clients informed and respond promptly.
• Support real estate transactions and disputes through due diligence, document review, and negotiation.
• Help grow the firm through networking and client events.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed in Missouri and/or Kansas, or eligible to sit for or waive in, and willing to become licensed in both.
• 0–2 years of experience. New attorneys are encouraged to apply.
• Clerkship, internship, or clinic experience in our practice areas is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Organized, deadline-driven, and eager to be in court.
• Open to feedback and committed to a team culture.
