Associate HR Business Partner

About the role

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner executes action items that support key projects and initiatives within the facility or group, in partnership with an HR Manager or Director. The role supports the effective execution of human resources strategies across areas including talent development, workforce planning, talent selection, engagement, recognition, performance management, organizational development, training, associate relations, compensation, benefits, wellness, risk safety, labor relations, sustainability, and philanthropy.

UNFI’s HR Operations team provides support for its 50+ distribution centers and plays a pivotal role in the company’s transformation journey. The team helps develop and retain talent and supports a people-first mindset and a culture of collaboration and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Build effective working relationships with business leaders and grow business acumen to better understand business needs.
• Partner with a supervisor to develop coaching skills and techniques.
• Coach individual contributors with the goal of making others successful.
• Participate and collaborate in supervisor, management, and staff meetings.
• Identify training needs in the distribution center through collaboration with other departments and suggest new HR initiatives.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Experience with LOA and grievances.
