Duties and Responsibilities:
Defend employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims from investigation through hearings and appeals. Manage case development, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Prepare for and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and administrative hearings. Collaborate with clients and partners on defense strategy and risk management. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates):
JD and active bar in at least one jurisdiction. 2–6+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience. Strong writing and advocacy skills.
