About the role
DeMott Auction Co. Inc. is seeking an Auction Yard Associate to help keep auction yard operations running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Move and stage equipment for display and auction.
- Load and unload equipment safely.
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and customer-ready.
- Assist customers with locating equipment.
- Tag, number, and line up auction items.
- Help with setup and breakdown on auction days.
- Perform basic equipment checks, including fluids, battery, and cleanliness.
- Work with the team to keep operations running efficiently.
Requirements
- Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and forklifts.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stay active throughout the day.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and safety.
- Experience with farm or construction equipment is preferred but not required.
- Previous yard, warehouse, or labor experience is preferred but not required.
