Job description
GEM HOSPITAL AND RESEARCH CENTER PVT LTD., is hiring a full-time Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) in Puducherry, India. Join a collaborative healthcare team and help provide compassionate maternal and newborn care to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care to mothers and newborns.
- Assist with deliveries and monitor maternal and infant health during the postpartum period.
- Educate mothers about maternal health, infant care, and family planning.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as required, and monitor patient vital signs.
- Maintain accurate patient health records and care documentation.
- Participate in community outreach promoting maternal and child health.
- Coordinate comprehensive care with physicians and healthcare staff.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Required: Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience; maternal health experience is strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
Team and Work Arrangement
Work with obstetricians, pediatricians, nursing staff, and community health workers. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Lead Nurse.
