Job description
SwipeScout is hiring a full-time Backend Developer in Doha, Baladīyat ad Dawḩah, Qatar. This on-site role is suited to a backend developer with at least three years of experience building and maintaining reliable, scalable services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Python, and Java.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to connect user-facing features with server-side logic.
- Improve application speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and share engineering knowledge.
- Find and resolve performance bottlenecks and software bugs.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and recommend engineering best practices.
- Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least three years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, and Java.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and services.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.

- Relevant technology certifications are a plus.
