Job description
About the role
Fatalist Band is looking for permanent bass and rhythm guitar members to join its Los Angeles-based heavy band. This is a commitment to write, record, tour, and grow with the band—not to serve as a hired gun or play only when available.
The band is influenced by Dealer, Orthodox, Varials, and Mugshot. Its music is challenging, and the band intends to keep it that way. Members are in their mid-30s, take the music seriously, and describe the group as collaborative. The band currently plays around Los Angeles roughly once a month and is pushing for more.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to writing, recording, decisions, content, shows, and tours as a real member of the band.
- Join the band in pursuing growth and taking its music as far as possible.
Requirements
- Live within roughly 100 miles of Los Angeles, or be willing and able to come to Los Angeles at least once a month, usually more often before shows, tours, writing sessions, or content days.
- Be genuinely tour ready and able to leave for roughly 2–4 weeks at a time once or twice a year.
- Want to pursue music and be involved in the band's growth.
- Be able to record high-quality tracks from home.
- Have a clean background.
Major bonuses: Experience playing this style of music, previous touring experience, comfort using in-ears, a current passport, and genuine enjoyment of writing and contributing creatively.
Upcoming commitments: October 8: opening for Soulfly at the Whisky; October 15–25: West Coast run; October 31: additional date and TJ show.
