Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist (DACVIM or Residency-Trained)馃搷 RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY TO Polk County / Central FL
A growing, independent multi-specialty veterinary hospital in Central Florida is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Internal Medicine Specialist to join an established specialty team that includes two surgeons, a neurologist, and a cardiologist. This is an opportunity to build and lead an expanding internal medicine service supported by advanced diagnostic and treatment infrastructure. The practice offers a collaborative, integrative approach to patient care and corporate-level benefits within a private practice setting.
Responsibilities:Lead and grow the internal medicine service line, taking over and expanding consultations currently supported by the practice's founderProvide advanced diagnostics and treatment planning for internal medicine and oncology casesCollaborate with a multidisciplinary specialist team including surgery, neurology, and cardiologyUtilize advanced imaging and equipment including ultrasound, video endoscopy, bronchoscopy, 1.5T MRI, 64-slice CT, and nuclear medicine (I-131)Integrate complementary modalities such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, and nutrition into patient care plans as appropriateParticipate in clinical research and teaching opportunitiesContribute to a team-oriented culture focused on whole-patient wellness and continuous improvement
Qualifications:DACVIM board certification or completion of an internal medicine residencyLicensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in FloridaStrong commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary patient careInterest in advancing diagnostics, integrative medicine, and innovative treatment approachesExcellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
