Qualifications
- 1-3 years operating watercraft in commercial, passenger, or rescue capacities
- Knowledge of nautical rules, basic mechanics, and strong physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and emergency situations
- Safely operate engine throttles and steering mechanisms, charting courses through rivers, harbors, or coastal waters
- Has experience in safety securing the boat to the docks using mooring lines and guide passengers during boarding and unboarding
- Has knowledge of conducting pre-departure checks, service motors (e.g., change oil) and clean or repair the boat’s hull and superstructures
