Business Analyst -

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a financial services organization, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst – Collections & Remarketing. This role is responsible for developing recurring and ad hoc reporting, analyzing operational performance and data trends, and improving reporting processes through automation and data visualization.Job Duties:Create and maintain recurring production reports and ad hoc reporting based on business requirementsAnalyze operational data to identify trends, exceptions, correlations, and performance driversPerform root cause analysis to identify and resolve reporting and data-quality issuesConduct data validation and testing to ensure reporting accuracy and data integrityGather reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical specificationsDevelop and enhance reporting solutions using SQL and enterprise analytics toolsIdentify opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve report efficiency and scalabilityReview existing reports for accuracy, usage, relevance, format, and opportunities for optimizationSkills Required:Experience with data analysis, statistical interpretation, trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause analysisHands-on experience developing and executing SQL queriesExperience integrating and analyzing data from multiple sourcesExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical reporting specificationsExperience with Cognos Report Studio or other Cognos reporting toolsExperience with data validation, data-quality testing, and reporting accuracy checksProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with SQL Workbench or comparable SQL development/query toolsExperience creating recurring production reports and ad hoc analytical reportingDesired:Experience automating manually generated reports and optimizing report performanceExperience with process mapping and reporting process improvementExperience analyzing collections, recovery, vendor KPI, dialer, or other financial-services operational data
