Job description
Virtalink is hiring a Cable Technician (Independent Contractor) in Orlando, Florida. This on-site 1099 contract opportunity is suited to a motivated technician with cable installation and troubleshooting experience. The listed pay is $7,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain cable systems.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation needs and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate appointments with clients and ensure service quality.
- Document completed work and report issues or unusual conditions to management.
- Maintain tools and equipment for safe, efficient work.
- Keep current with telecommunications industry practices and changes.
- Provide responsive customer service and address client questions and concerns.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven cable installation and troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of industry-standard safety practices and equipment.
- Familiarity with telecommunications tools and technology.
- At least two years of cable-related experience preferred.
- Relevant cable installation certifications are a plus.
Work Environment
Work independently while collaborating with Virtalink technicians and management. The role reports to the Operations Manager and works with cross-functional teams to support efficient service delivery. This is an on-site position in Orlando, Florida; it is not remote eligible.
Compensation and Employment
Pay: $7,000 per month. Employment type: Independent Contractor (1099).
