CDL Driver, Water & Sewer Division - New York City, NY

Harris-MCBurney is hiring a full-time CDL Driver for its Water & Sewer Division in New York City, NY. Help support essential public infrastructure by safely transporting materials to and from water and sewer job sites. This on-site role offers an opportunity to contribute to community health and safety in a team-focused environment where safety, efficiency, and communication are priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles to transport materials to and from job sites in compliance with safety requirements.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any equipment concerns.
• Maneuver vehicles in tight spaces and load or unload materials as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of work hours, mileage, and materials transported.
• Coordinate schedules and deliveries with team members and supervisors.
• Address transportation issues and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow traffic laws and applicable transportation safety regulations.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with New York City roads and traffic patterns preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team.
• Knowledge of transportation safety and regulatory protocols.

Pay and Employment

• Pay: $55,000 per year.
• Job type: Full-time.
• Location: New York City, New York. This position is not remote.
