Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO)

About the role

Q Test Inspection is seeking a Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO).

Tasks

• Ensure the safe operation of exposure devices.
• Set up and dismantle radiographic barriers.
• Ensure radiographic perimeters are clear of unauthorized personnel.
• Perform radiographic inspections as directed.
• Adhere to Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) regulations, Q Test Inspection's Radiation Safety Manual, and General Safety Manual.
• Understand and follow the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) Manual.
• Conduct work within the company’s scope, capabilities, and safety standards.
• Ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and understood; provide clear direction to team members.
• Maintain work quality through consistent monitoring and corrective actions.
• Follow all health and safety procedures related to the assigned work.

Requirements

• Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) certification issued by CNSC (mandatory)
• Completion of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) courses is an asset
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial radiography or related field
• Strong knowledge of CNSC regulations, radiation safety practices, and QMS protocols
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Physically fit and capable of handling exposure devices and related equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to safety, detail, and documentation
