Job description
Synco Staff X is seeking a dedicated Certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time, on-site role in Boston, Massachusetts. Join an inclusive, collaborative educational environment focused on helping students with diverse needs achieve academic and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
- Assess student strengths and areas for growth, and monitor progress over time.
- Create engaging lesson plans that support varied learning styles and abilities.
- Use effective behavior management strategies to foster a positive classroom climate.
- Coordinate with general education teachers, specialists, therapists, and support staff to provide consistent student support.
- Adjust instructional strategies based on student progress and assessment results.
- Communicate with families and guardians to strengthen the home-school partnership.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- State certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- Strong skills in empathy, collaboration, student assessment, and behavior management.
- Experience using educational software and tools.
- At least two years of special education experience preferred.
Team and Work Environment
Report to the Special Education Coordinator and collaborate with teachers, specialists, therapists, and support staff. The team provides educators with access to resources and a supportive, cross-functional environment.
