About the role
Saint Clare's Health is seeking an Operating Room Tech to prepare sterile supplies and instruments, maintain the sterile field, and provide the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
- Maintain the sterile field during the case.
- Provide the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience, required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years of experience; surgical setting preferred.
- Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties, such as GYN, general and plastics.
- Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas, such as ortho, neuro, ENT and Uro.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current.
