Job description
Hawkeye Directional LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Examiner Processing Clerk to join our team in New York City, New York. This full-time position supports claims examiners by managing claim documentation, data entry, verification, and record maintenance to ensure accurate and efficient claims processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process incoming claims documentation promptly.
- Enter claim information accurately into company databases and systems.
- Verify claim details for completeness and accuracy to prevent errors.
- Request missing information from claimants, providers, or other relevant parties.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper claim files for easy retrieval.
- Assist claims examiners with investigations and documentation as needed.
- Monitor claim status and update records to reflect current progress.
- Respond professionally to routine inquiries from customers, providers, or internal staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents efficiently.
- Scan, index, and organize claim-related materials systematically.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Previous clerical, administrative, data entry, insurance, or customer service experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
