We are investing in our people, equipment, and processes to build a precision manufacturing organization capable of supporting complex, high-value work for years to come.This position is being created to establish and scale our machining capability.Initially, you'll be our technical machining leader. As the company grows, you'll help shape the standards, systems, equipment, and team that define our manufacturing organization.This is a rare opportunity to join a company early enough that your fingerprints will be on everything we build.Your RoleThis is a hands-on leadership position.You'll spend the majority of your time on the shop floor programming, setting up, machining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and improving production.We're looking for someone who enjoys making chips as much as building systems.You'll work directly with company leadership to help create a manufacturing operation known for precision, repeatability, and professionalism.What You'll DoProgram complex precision components using Mastercam.Set up, operate, and optimize our Okuma LB3000 EXIII MYW multitasking CNC turning center.Develop machining strategies for prototype and production components.Produce first articles and production parts while maintaining demanding dimensional tolerances.Read engineering drawings, SolidWorks models, and GD&T to determine the best manufacturing approach.Select tooling, establish cutting parameters, manage tool life, and continuously improve machining performance.Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision metrology equipment including micrometers, bore gages, indicators, comparators, height gages, and CMM equipment.Troubleshoot machining issues involving tooling, chatter, surface finish, dimensional variation, and cycle time optimization.Develop setup sheets, tooling standards, work instructions, and machining documentation that support repeatable production.Partner closely with quality and engineering to improve manufacturability and eliminate recurring process issues.Help evaluate future equipment purchases, tooling strategies, and manufacturing technologies.Recruit, mentor, and develop future machinists as Remetheus expands.Take ownership of the shop floor by maintaining a safe, organized, and professional manufacturing environment.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who can work independently, solve complex manufacturing problems, and help build a high-performance machining operation.Required Qualifications10+ years of CNC machining experience producing precision components.Expert-level Mastercam programming experience.Demonstrated ability to independently program, set up, operate, and inspect production parts.Strong experience with CNC turning, live tooling, Y-axis machining, and multitasking lathes.Experience operating Okuma CNC equipment.
