Job description
Join our team at Eland Platinum Mine, a leading mining operation located in Northern Cape, South Africa. We are currently hiring a permanent Code 14 Driver to ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials and personnel, contributing directly to our operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport materials and personnel as scheduled.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to meet safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit timely reports per company policy.
- Ensure vehicle upkeep and promptly report any maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding schedules and transport issues.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols while driving.
- Participate actively in training sessions and safety meetings to improve skills.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills for clear coordination with teams.
- Previous experience as a Code 14 driver is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
The Code 14 Driver will report directly to the Transport Manager and collaborate closely with logistics, operations, maintenance, safety personnel, and site supervisors to ensure smooth transportation processes that support mining operations.
