In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and personnel, directly impacting our operational success and contributing to our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient transport of materials and personnel as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit reports as mandated by company policy.
- Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition and report any repair needs promptly.
- Practice effective communication with team members and supervisors regarding transport schedules and issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols while operating the vehicle.
- Participate in training programs and safety meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification required.
- Valid Code 14 driver's license mandatory.
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members.
- Prior experience as a Code 14 driver is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
