About the role
Nexxen is looking for a Communications Director to join its Marketing & Communications team in New York City. The role supports the communications and marketing team and management, providing expertise across media relations, thought leadership, events, social media and marketing. It requires a passion for and extensive experience in writing, content development and liaising with press to support company-wide communications, particularly externally.
Responsibilities
- Work with teams across Nexxen to develop and lead strategic communications plans, messaging and written content for corporate announcements and product launches across Nexxen’s global regions.
- Identify and manage earned and paid media opportunities to increase Nexxen’s visibility and differentiation in market.
- Coordinate with the global Marketing & Communications team on strategic go-to-market planning and implementation of PR and Marketing efforts.
- Lead company awards programs and submissions for thought leadership and speaking opportunities.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with partners, sponsors and organizing committees.
- Collaborate with management on communication goals and objectives and define methods for evaluating success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in journalism, communication, public relations or marketing; a Master’s Degree in a similar field is a plus.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience, including in ad tech and/or in a PR agency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex capabilities and evolving ecosystems into clear, differentiated messaging.
