Construction Superintendent

We’re a 100% employee-owned construction manager and general contractor with a strong pipeline of technically challenging work, and we’re looking for an experienced Superintendent to help lead life sciences construction in North Carolina's Research Triangle.
What you'll actually be doing:Leading daily field operations on pharmaceutical, cGMP cleanroom, laboratory, biotechnology, life science, and process manufacturing projectsCoordinating subcontractors, site logistics, manpower, and sequencing of workReading and interpreting complex MEP drawings, process piping layouts, HVAC systems, controls, and technical submittalsDeveloping and maintaining 3-week look-ahead schedules and keeping critical activities movingCoordinating utility tie-ins, shutdowns, and other high-impact field activitiesMaintaining a strong safety culture and enforcing EHS requirements, cleanroom protocols, and cGMP standardsWorking closely with Project Managers, engineers, commissioning agents, equipment vendors, and trade partnersSupporting commissioning and startup activitiesMaintaining accurate daily reports, RFIs, safety documentation, and field change information using project software (e.g., Procore)Identifying potential problems early and working with the project team to find solutions before they impact the schedule
What we're looking for:5+ years of experience as a lead Construction SuperintendentExperience with life sciences, pharmaceutical, laboratory, medical, or other high-tech constructionStrong understanding of MEP systems, HVAC filtration, process piping, gas lines, and cleanroom environmentsAbility to read and understand complex construction drawings and specificationsExperience coordinating multiple specialized trades on active jobsitesStrong communication, organization, and field leadership skillsOSHA 30 requiredFirst Aid/CPR and cGMP training preferredExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS ProjectDegree in Construction Management, Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred—but equivalent field experience is absolutely valued
