Contract QA Engineer QA Tester

About the role

Digits Myanmar is hiring a Contract QA Engineer QA Tester to test mobile applications, web platforms, APIs, and critical product modules.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Create and execute test cases, and identify and document defects using tools such as Jira or Trello.
• Verify features across testing, pre-production, and production environments.
• Review requirements and provide early feedback on risks, gaps, and edge cases.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
• Participate in sprint planning and provide QA estimates.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and other teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Help improve QA processes, test coverage, and release quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or in a similar quality assurance role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test-case design, and QA life cycles.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications, and experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium or Appium is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Preferred domain experience: travel and hospitality, and high-transaction mobile applications.
