Control Room Operator

Minimum Requirements: • At least 3 years’ experience in fleet monitoring, vehicle tracking, logistics, dispatch or a transport control room environment. • Practical experience using GPS tracking or telematics systems. • Computer literacy, including email, fleet management systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. • Good working knowledge of South African routes, major national roads and basic map reading. • Clear spoken and written English • Availability to work rotational day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays. • A valid South African driver’s licence with own transport is advantageous Competencies: • Sustained attention and situational awareness • Sound judgement and rapid decision-making • Clear, calm and professional communication • Map reading, route awareness and accurate direction-giving • Data accuracy and attention to detail • Incident coordination and problem-solving • Ability to prioritise multiple vehicles and alerts under pressure • Integrity, confidentiality and reliability • Teamwork, discipline and procedural compliance The Affirmative Action principles as set out in the Company’s Employment Equity targets and Policy shall apply.
