Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial assessments to create personalized debt management plans.
• Guide and support clients throughout the debt counselling process, ensuring clear understanding of options and obligations.
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlements by liaising with creditors on behalf of clients.
• Maintain accurate case files and client records in line with industry standards.
• Educate clients on financial literacy, budgeting, and effective debt management techniques.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation and regulatory changes affecting debt counselling.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to improve client services.

Qualifications & Experience

• Mandatory: NCR Registered Debt Counsellor certification.
• Strong knowledge of South African debt counselling procedures and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients.
• Proficiency in financial software and case management systems.
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years experience in debt counselling or related financial advisory roles.
