About the role
Graham Inc. is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for an organization in Lanham, United States. This is a full-time position with professional growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations and oversee financial reporting and the general ledger.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, cash flow and financial risk.
- Ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and tax functions.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Lead and develop accounting staff.
- Support government contract financial reporting and monitor contract billing, revenue recognition and cost reporting.
- Improve accounting processes and systems, using NetSuite for accounting operations and financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
- Government contracting experience and hands-on NetSuite experience are required.
- Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager or senior accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls and audits.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP experience.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
