We’re looking for an experienced Controller to take the lead on accounting and financial operations for a reputable organization in Lanham, MD.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
▪ Lead day-to-day accounting operations
▪ Oversee financial reporting and the general ledger
▪ Manage budgets, forecasts and financial analysis
▪ Ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance
▪ Oversee AP, AR, payroll and tax functions
▪ Coordinate internal and external audits
▪ Manage cash flow and financial risk
▪ Lead and develop accounting staff
▪ Support government contract financial reporting
▪ Monitor contract billing, revenue recognition and cost reporting
▪ Improve accounting processes and systems
▪ Use NetSuite for accounting operations and financial reporting

WHAT YOU BRING
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
▪ 8+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience
▪ Government contracting experience — required
▪ Hands-on NetSuite experience — required
▪ Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager or senior accounting experience
▪ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
▪ Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience
▪ Internal controls and audit experience
▪ Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP experience
▪ CPA or CMA preferred
