Job description
About the role
CFS is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead daily accounting operations and provide financial leadership for a growing organization. The Controller will oversee accounting staff, drive month-end close activities, support intercompany accounting, and help strengthen internal processes while serving as a key partner to company leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor accounting team members across AP, AR, and general accounting functions.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Oversee financial reporting and account reconciliations.
- Perform and review intercompany reconciliations.
- Manage foreign currency transactions and exchange rate accounting.
- Ensure accurate cash, balance sheet, and income statement reporting.
- Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Support audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
- Drive process improvements and increased use of ERP functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong SAP experience is a must.
- Experience managing month-end close.
- Knowledge of intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Understanding of foreign currency transactions and exchange rates.
