Venteon Finance is currently seeking a qualified CONTROLLER for a growing construction-related client.
REQUIREMENTS for the Controller role
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance7+ years of progressive experienceConstruction or Contracting industry experienceUnderstanding of Job Costs and WIPSupervisory experience as either a Controller, Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Controller role
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statementsPrepare and analyze monthly financial packages, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsCoordinate with the CFO on the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial forecastsManage banking relationships and monitor daily cash flow to support operational needsMaintain the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule, ensuring accurate revenue recognitionEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal requirementsCoordinate annual auditsSupervise and mentor accounting staff (Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Staff Accountant).Other Duties as assigned
