Databricks Architect

About the role

Design and deliver enterprise-grade data platforms on the Lakehouse.

Tasks

• Architect scalable, performant and cost-efficient data platforms
• Troubleshoot complex platform challenges and recommend the right patterns for business and technical needs
• Lead technical delivery and advise clients

Requirements

• 12-15+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms and Modern Data Warehousing, with 10+ years in consulting or client-facing delivery
• 6-8+ end-to-end Databricks implementations as a hands-on developer, tech lead or solution architect
• Deep Apache Spark expertise: performance tuning, partitioning, execution plans, memory management
• Strong hands-on work with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Workflows, MLflow and Structured Streaming
• Cloud-native platform design on AWS, Azure and/or GCP (deep in at least one)
• CI/CD for production data solutions (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins)
• Working knowledge of MLOps: model deployment, lifecycle management and monitoring
• Preferred: Databricks Data Engineer Professional certification (or equivalent)
• Preferred: Databricks Solutions Architect Champion program
