If you have extensive experience working with DB2 on IBM z/OS environments, this is a rare opportunity to join a team managing mission-critical, high-availability mainframe systems. This is a hands-on DBA role focused on ensuring optimal performance, recovery, and stability of enterprise databases.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Lead DB2 database installation, configuration, and performance tuning activities
• Perform and manage RUNSTATS, REORG, and core DB2 utilities for optimal database health
• Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity
• Continuously monitor database health metrics including logging, response times, and system performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production, testing, and development environments
• Support software releases, migrations, and data fixes related to DB2
• Collaborate closely with application teams on DB2 deployment activities
• Manage and resolve IBM support tickets efficiently
• Maintain and support high-availability DB2 environments
• Participate in disaster recovery drills and system upgrades
• Administer IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (CDC) solutions

🧠 Required Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on DB2 DBA experience on IBM z/OS (version 12 or higher)
• Expertise in performance tuning including RUNSTATS, REORG, and DB2 utilities
• Strong background in backup and recovery strategies
• Experience supporting production environments and full lifecycle DB2 operations (DEV to PROD)
• Familiarity with replication and CDC tools such as IBM InfoSphere Data Replication
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Location: This role is onsite in New York City, NY. Remote work is not eligible.

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position.

Salary: $130,000 per year.
