Delivery Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly, directly impacting customer satisfaction through timely and safe deliveries. Key Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure delivery van functionality. Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods. Interact with customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling and storage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered. Collaborate with dispatch and logistics staff to manage schedules and meet deadlines effectively. Required and Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in a delivery driving role or similar position preferred. Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s license; Forklift operation experience is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to solve problems and manage time, especially in high-pressure situations. Experience with logistics and supply chain operations is advantageous. No formal education is required, but relevant training in customer service or logistics is beneficial.
