Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during procedures and prepare the required instruments and materials.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays according to treatment plans and dentist instructions.
- Explain treatment plans and oral health needs to patients.
- Maintain patient records, schedule appointments, and send follow-up reminders.
- Answer patient inquiries and assist with insurance claim processing.
- Work with the dental team to support excellent patient care and efficient practice operations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification in X-ray procedures and patient care.
- Previous dental assistant experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with dental software and technology is a plus.
