Job description
Join our team as a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure Databricks based in Toronto, Ontario. This contract role offers flexible work arrangements with 3-4 days onsite, ideal for professionals who excel in fast-paced, collaborative cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins to streamline code integration and deployment.
- Provision and manage Azure cloud resources efficiently with Terraform, adhering to best practices in source control and environment management.
- Develop and automate scalable data workflows leveraging Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize secure data lakehouse architectures and networking.
- Manage containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce Git branching and pull request best practices.
- Utilize SQL and Python to analyze and transform data supporting business intelligence and decision-making.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps and cloud engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Strong Terraform skills for Azure resource provisioning and management.
- Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Advanced Python programming skills for automation and data processing.
- Strong SQL capabilities for data analysis and transformation.
