Job description
Path of Purpose is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Pasadena, CA team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.5-19.5 and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility support.
- Document client progress and behavioral or health changes accurately.
- Implement individualized support plans to enhance client well-being and independence.
- Encourage participation in recreational and community activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to foster collaboration.
- Use behavior support strategies to promote positive behaviors and communication.
- Assist in crisis intervention to maintain safety and stability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with compassion and patience.
- Preferred experience in mobility assistance.
