Dispatch Operator PG X

Idwala Industrial Holdings, with interests in lime, carbonates, magnetite and other industrial minerals in various locations, has an opportunity for a Despatch Operator based at its Danjelskuil operation in Northern Cape, reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor (Rawstone).

The Despatch Operator is responsible for the sale and efficient packing, loading, dispatching, and handling of instances of customer order documents and safety, health, environmental, and housekeeping standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Pack limestone products into bags and load bulk product for dispatch.
- Prepare and load tankers and trucks according to operational requirements.
- Operate plant machinery and mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report defects or abnormalities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in line with housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock control and product verification during loading activities.
- Ensure accurate completion of relevant dispatch and operational documentation.
- Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and training initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience in a production, mining, processing plant, or dispatch environment would be advantageous.
- Competent in operating mobile equipment (e.g., front-end loader, forklift, or similar).
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
