Door Trim Design Release Engineer

Tasks

• Design and release automotive interior components, particularly door trim and door panel assemblies.
• Use CATIA V6 to develop and modify automotive component designs.
• Resolve manufacturing plant issues, including product defects and design-related concerns.
• Investigate warranty issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with styling teams on feasibility studies and design evaluations.
• Evaluate A-class surfaces and establish craftsmanship targets.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Door Trim Design Release Engineer (DRE).
• Experience in automotive interior component design, particularly door trim and door panel components.
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V6.
• Experience in manufacturing issue resolution, warranty analysis, and root cause investigation.
• Knowledge of styling feasibility, A-class surface evaluation, and craftsmanship requirements.
• Understanding of automotive door trim manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Alternatively, an engineering diploma with 10+ years of experience in automotive door trim components and subsystems.
