Job description
Siri Info Solutions Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead in Schenectady, New York. This 12+ month opportunity is suited to an experienced electrical engineering professional with 10–15 years of relevant experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Role Overview
Lead electrical engineering support for gas and steam turbine generator projects, from contract definition and design through installation and commercial operation. The role coordinates cross-functional engineering teams, supports customer and supplier discussions, and drives timely, cost-effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support during contract negotiation, application, design, and installation.
- Coordinate engineering support with sourcing, services, gas, steam and generator requisition engineering, global engineering, and equipment suppliers.
- Lead development and application of electrical Material Shipped Direct (MSD) equipment for new gas or steam turbine generator units.
- Partner with requisition management to shorten cycle times and improve the process from order definition through commercial operation.
- Meet on-time performance targets for internal engineering work and customer deliverables.
- Lead generator and electrical equipment discussions in domestic and international customer meetings, and drive requisition goals.
- Provide technical support and champion cost-saving projects.
- Develop strategies to manage risk and resolve hardware issues identified at the factory or during installation.
- Interpret and implement contract requirements and design practices.
- Stay current with global codes, standards, tools, and processes.
- Collaborate effectively, resolve conflicts, support customers, make sound decisions, influence stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BE, B.Tech, ME, or M.Tech).
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
