Role Description The Electrical Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in San Juan, responsible for overseeing field operations on commercial electrical projects. This position coordinates and supervises electricians and forepersons, ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, codes, and company standards. Daily activities include reviewing drawings and specifications, planning manpower and material needs, and directing installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The role collaborates closely with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors, provides progress updates, and proactively resolves field challenges. The Electrical Superintendent also promotes a safety-focused, team-oriented work environment and supports quality control and productivity initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coordination of crews, and onsite performance management.Candidates should possess solid knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles relevant to commercial construction.Candidates should possess experience in electrical contracting, including familiarity with codes, standards, permitting, and construction processes.Candidates should possess hands-on troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in electrical systems and equipment.Relevant qualifications include experience as a superintendent or foreperson on commercial electrical projects, strong safety mindset, and effective communication with field teams and project stakeholders.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications, use basic project management tools, and maintain accurate site documentation.Trade school certificate, journeyperson-level training, or equivalent practical experience in electrical construction; licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
