About the role

Shaw Industries is hiring an Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) for the first shift at its facility in Chickamauga, GA. The Reliability Electrician III maintains, troubleshoots, and improves electrical systems and production equipment to support performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across assigned manufacturing areas. The role provides advanced electrical support, develops detailed job plans, and mentors lower-level electricians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and control systems, including process and support equipment such as MCCs, motors, inverters, converters, reactors, power distribution components, PLCs, robotics, drives, and associated automation systems.
• Identify, diagnose, and repair complex issues affecting safety, quality, or productivity.
• Distinguish between mechanical, electrical, process, and product-related issues.
• Provide detailed findings and root-cause information to operations and maintenance leadership.
• Recommend and verify necessary updates to electrical schematics and documentation.
• Lead and execute preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities.
• Follow OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and facility safety requirements, and communicate work needs, troubleshooting findings, and improvement opportunities.
