Position Overview

Shaw Industries is currently hiring a Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) for the first shift at our facility in Chickamauga, GA.

The Reliability Electrician III maintains, troubleshoots, and improves electrical systems and production equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across assigned manufacturing areas. This role provides advanced electrical support, develops detailed job plans, and mentors lower‑level electricians to improve overall plant performance and technical capability.

The Reliability Electrician III is expected to perform assigned duties with a strong focus on:

Position Duties & Tasks

Maintain Electrical & Control Systems

Provide Advanced Maintenance On Process And Support Equipment Including

MCCs, motors, inverters, Converters, Reactors, and power distribution componentsPLCs, robotics, drives, and associated automation systems Troubleshoot & Execute Repairs

Identify, diagnose, and repair complex issues impacting safety, quality, or productivity:

Distinguish between mechanical, electrical, process, and product-related issuesProvide detailed findings and root-cause information to operations and maintenance leadershipRecommend and verify necessary updates to electrical schematics and documentation Perform Proactive Maintenance

Lead And Execute PM And CM Activities

Preventive Maintenance: Perform inspections, measurements, and adjustments according to specifications and schedules.Condition Maintenance: Repair/replace components based on PM or PdM results. Develop detailed job plans and request updates to schematics as required. Support Projects & Process Improvements

Execute Assigned Work Orders To Support

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or GEDCompletion of Reliability Electrician II requirements (DOS)Previous electrical experience Demonstrated technical proficiency in advanced electrical troubleshootingExperience with PLC hardware and industrial control systems

Preferred

3-4 years of electrical experience in manufacturingIndustrial electrical certification or technical school courseworkAdvanced training in PLCs, VFDs, robotics, or automation

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
