Teachers are encouraged to innovate, collaborate, and continuously grow within a dynamic professional community committed to meaningful, student-centered education.Role DescriptionThe Creating Center International School is seeking a passionate and reflective Elementary School Teacher to join our Buenaventura campus. This is a full-time, on-site position serving students in a multi-age, inquiry-based learning environment.The teacher will design and facilitate engaging learning experiences aligned with our internationally recognized curriculum and the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). Responsibilities include supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and fostering independence, curiosity, and a love of learning.As part of a small and highly collaborative school community, teachers are expected to actively participate in school events, professional development, and initiatives that support our mission of reimagining education through creativity, inquiry, and meaningful learning experiences.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.Experience teaching elementary-aged students and creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.Strong understanding of inquiry-based, student-centered, and concept-driven learning approaches.Experience with curriculum design, assessment, and differentiation to support diverse learners.Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) or willingness to learn and actively participate in the IB authorization process.Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and colleagues.Commitment to fostering social-emotional learning, student agency, and a positive classroom culture.Ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural and multilingual environment.Flexibility, creativity, and a growth mindset, with a willingness to contribute beyond the classroom as part of a close-knit school community.Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish or additional languages is an asset.Experience in multi-age classrooms, alternative education settings, or project-based learning environments is considered an advantage.
