Salary: $23.86 to $26.25 per hour (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with possible evenings and weekends

Job Overview

Luann Manderville is seeking a skilled Engineering Inspector to perform technical inspections of subdivision site plans, unpaved roads, and individual building permit construction projects. The role ensures compliance with approved plans and specifications across the county.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect subdivision site plans and unpaved road construction
• Review individual building permits for compliance
• Travel countywide as required
• Perform emergency duties during hurricanes, major storms, or disasters as directed

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building, roadway, or utilities construction
• Additional qualifying education or experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis
• Possess or obtain a valid Florida driver’s license prior to employment and maintain it during employment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
• Capable of standing, walking, sitting, and driving for 5 to 8 hours daily
• Perform repetitive fine manipulation tasks such as writing and wiring
• Must be able to balance, bend, climb, dig, kneel, and crawl as needed
