English Teacher – Panama City, Panama

Academia Hebrea de Panamá is hiring a full-time English Teacher in Panama City, Panama. Teach English through creative, student-centered methods that develop language proficiency, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan engaging lessons: Design units using cooperative learning, gamification, flipped classroom, task-based learning, and project-based learning, supported by interactive technology.
• Lead dynamic classes: Facilitate debates, role plays, presentations, peer teaching, and hands-on activities.
• Assess student progress: Use oral checks, clear rubrics, and student self-evaluation to monitor learning.
• Adapt instruction: Tailor materials and teaching approaches to students’ levels, interests, and learning preferences.
• Integrate technology: Use educational apps, online resources, videos, and formative assessment tools to enrich instruction.
• Support collaboration: Encourage group projects and peer learning inside and outside the classroom.
• Communicate effectively: Work with families and colleagues to share student progress and identify learning needs.
• Grow professionally: Stay current with teaching practices through courses, webinars, reading, and educator collaboration.

Requirements

• Degree in English Teaching, Higher Education, TESOL/TEFL, or a related field.
• English proficiency at C1–C2, including fluent speaking and academic writing.
• Ideally, 3–4 years of experience teaching secondary school students or in a similar setting.
