Team members work with international customers and contribute to high-quality, customer-focused communication.Role Description The English/Spanish Medical Interpreter role is a full-time, remote position focused on facilitating clear and accurate communication between English- and Spanish-speaking patients, healthcare professionals, and related stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include providing real-time medical interpretation during phone or virtual consultations, accurately conveying information in both languages while maintaining meaning, tone, and context, and ensuring that medical terminology is correctly understood. The interpreter will handle inbound calls, support customer service interactions related to medical matters, and may assist with translation of written medical content as needed. This role requires adherence to confidentiality standards, professional conduct during sensitive conversations, and collaboration with call center teams to deliver reliable, compassionate support to patients and providers.Qualifications Strong skills in Medical Interpretation and Interpreting, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in high-volume call environments.Proficiency in Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation for English and Spanish in medical and healthcare settings.Solid understanding of Medical Terminology in both English and Spanish, with the ability to explain complex terms clearly to patients.Native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension abilities in both languages.Previous experience as a medical interpreter, in healthcare customer service, or in a clinical support environment is highly beneficial.Strong confidentiality and ethical standards, including adherence to HIPAA or similar patient privacy regulations where applicable.Reliable remote work setup, including stable internet connection, quality headset, and a quiet, professional workspace.Effective time management skills, ability to handle continuous call volume, and comfort working independently in a virtual team.Relevant certification in medical interpreting or a related field is preferred.
