Experienced Accounting Associate

Job Description
• Prepare and send legal invoices to clients via email and/or the client’s designated billing system.
• Review billing information and ensure invoices are submitted accurately and in accordance with client requirements.
• Work closely with attorneys regarding fee and expensed deductions from client invoice.
• Assist attorneys in appealing or disputing fee and expense deductions when appropriate.
• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and conduct follow-ups on unpaid or overdue invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, collections, deductions, and follow-up activities.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders regarding billing and payment matters.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Billing Coordinator as needed.
• Perform other billing and AR-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or audit experience
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, Netsuite, or AR tools as a plus
• Relevant experience in accounts receivable processing, collection, and reporting
• Proficient in Excel (sum, filters, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP)
• Proactive, Detail-oriented, accurate, and consistent
• Clear and professional communication in a remote setup
• A team player with a growth mindset
• Effective communicator at all levels, both verbally and written
• Demonstrates accountability, inclusivity, and professionalism
