Farm Workshop Assistant

Immediate Work Available
We require someone to start Monday 14 September for approximately 2 weeks of full-time work, assisting with the removal and preparation of mature olive trees.
The majority of the heavy pruning will be completed using machinery. Your role will include:
• Trimming branches and roots by hand
• Refining root balls to fit into transport bags
• General farm labour and site clean-up
• Assisting with loading and moving equipment
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
This is a physically demanding role, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
A tractor licence or tractor operating experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Pay
$40 per hour + superannuation for the temporary tree project.

Potential Ongoing Position
For the right person, this role may transition into a regular casual workshop position (approximately 2-3 days per week), with the opportunity to progress into a full-time position in the future.
The ongoing role involves assembling our Australian-made power equipment in our workshop.

• Has good mechanical aptitude and enjoys hands-on work
• Is confident using hand and power tools
• Learns new tasks quickly and follows instructions well
• Has practical common sense and good problem-solving ability
• Takes pride in producing quality work
• Is reliable, punctual and honest
• Can work independently once trained
• Takes care of tools, equipment and the workplace
• Enjoys working in a small team
Previous workshop, farming, mechanical or maintenance experience would be highly regarded, however attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important than formal qualifications.
Rate is $35/hr for the on-going role.
