Job description
Geronimo, a Santa Fe restaurant recognized with a Mobil Four Star rating and AAA Four Diamond rating, is hiring an experienced Fine Dining Captain. The restaurant serves guests year-round and is seeking a dedicated service professional to help deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalized service.
- Welcome guests, present wine and beverage menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about menu items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Coordinate with support staff, kitchen staff, and managers to maintain timely service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Keep the dining area clean and organized, with tables properly set with utensils, glassware, and linens.
- Train and mentor junior team members in service techniques, etiquette, and product knowledge.
- Follow health and safety regulations and complete assigned side work.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a fine dining captain or in a similar role at a high-end restaurant is essential.
- Strong knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine pairing, and menu items.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence serving guests from diverse backgrounds.
